Two adjustable buckles at the wrist allow for the gloves to be fastened and tightened to various wrist sizes. The leather then flares out slightly, just covering up to the middle of the forearm. Strips of leather, studded with polished metal, run over the back of the gloves to add to the armor's protective quality. The leather has been treated to increase its flexibility.
