Iron
Region:Outside of major population centers, a reasonable distance.
Description:This heavy chunk of rock is tinted darkly with a rusty red color, an indication that there are some amounts of metallic iron within the rock. The red color rubs off of the rock after it is rubbed with some force, and is difficult to get off of the skin. Miners can take this lump of ore, and skillfully extract whatever iron is in it for use.
Uses:Iron ore is used in various crafted items, including weapons and armour.
Notes:You mine iron by building a corkwood mine around the node you wish to exploit. It will take 5 corkwood to do so. As your skill with the pick increases you will waste less and complete the job much more efficiently. As with all of nature's resources, it is wise not to over exploit what exists.
