Common Name: Bat, Giant
Species: Mammal, Chiroptera
Habitat: Deep Jungles, Subterranean Caverns
Description: The wingspan of this night flyer stretches nearly four rands in length. Its dark, dusty color allows for it to blend in perfectly with its chosen surroundings. Its wings, when not furled close to its body, consists of a thin, sturdy membrane that stretches between five elongated digits. Two large, pointed ears emphasize the elongated face of the bat, and the dark eyes sometimes flash red.
Notes: Typically nocturnal. An advanced echo-location permits extremely precise pinpointing of prey via the use of rapid vocalized clicks and extremely sensitive ears.
