Magenta Taffeta Moth
Habitat:Ta'Raekhet
Description:Magenta certainly describes this winged insect very well, as its rounded V-shaped wings are mostly that, although interspersed with black, white and other muted shades in whorls and ribbed piping. Its leaf-shaped antennae are fragile and feathery. Its body is thick and flat, tapering toward the posterior in subdued segments. Approximately three thums in length, it is almost double that in width.
Notes:Long thought to be more butterfly than moth, it is still nonetheless a nocturnal insect. It is a pollen feeder, preferring nocturnal blooms and flowers that do not close nightly for its diet.

This is the adult form of the Bellamane's Needleworm.
