Softened leather, treated with beeswax so it remains water-resistant, forms a set of boots that strap to various leg sizes along the hips and thighs. The boots taper just above the knee, where a rigid leather cap protects the knees. The backs of the thighs have been left exposed, though a series of leather buckles and straps run across there to strap the armor to the leg.
