Description: The large, curved head of this axe measures approximately seven thums
from top to bottom, and the thin blade has been sharpened to a gleaming
edge. Through a six thum grove in the thick haft of the axe approximately
five thums from the top, the blunted end of the head attaches to the wood
and is sealed with additional metal strips. The strips continue down the
seven rands long haft which ends in a carved grip wrapped with leather,
possibly to soak up any blood that may come in contact with the handle
and preventing it from becoming slick.
